A Drowning Mind: To have affliction in life, problems, and be unable to get a break; slowly dying.

One Week, One Day...
Well, I have been moved in to the dorms here, for almost a week, a week this tuesday. I had a lot of stuff to do with training and my job this last week, but most of it was nothing, simply sitting in dining center, and watching movies and listening to lectures about such dining things.

I tried to meet some of the freshman there, including a girl I thought was really, well, pretty. But if some of you know me well enough, you know that I have a very hard time talking to people I dont really know, let alone a girl, or girl I find attractive.

I did get a chance to atleast talk to her, some, but it was in front of a group of people, and I was asking people if they had any questions and such, being that they are freshman, and I was a sophmore. She is really nice, as far as I was able to concur. Pretty too, infact, looked very similar to the girl from the Country Bar this summer...

I went with my roommate, Gander, and Trevor (from California), and Josh (from Alaska) to Andy's mom's hotel room. Our intent, was to swim, but we didnt get around to that. We told stories, chatted, ate pizza, and had a beer (not andy, he was driving).

THe following night, more people were moved in and such, including the boys from New Jersey, and we all hung out that evening, watching the Olympics, and watching whatever was on tv. It was a great night.

I played raquetball yesturday too, I whooped up on some other guys in the game, it was fun. Felt great to be physically active like that, and too use my new raquet!

Today, i had to get up at 8:30am, to make it to work, by 9am. I only worked till 11am, which is great, because its short, and feels like its a class, not work. you know? I was afraid they were going to move me to a new area, like saladbar, instead of the dishroom, like I like, but they didnt, yet, so its all good.

I also took andy there to see if they would want to hire him, none of the student managers were there yet, so we are going back later tonight, for idnner, and we are going to stop in there, to see if there are any positions for him to work. One of the older men, said there were positions, but I dont know if there are ones andy would want, or ones that work well for his time schedual, but there is only one way to find out! PLus, that job doesnt pay THAT well, but ohh well. A job, is a job.

I've been in a swing of Blues Brothers music lately, one for the road here.

"Gimmie Some Luvin" -The Blues Brothers. A must listen. 8-)
